Rotten Fruit
It's no secret that Jeffrey Campbell loves a good knockoff shoe and let's face it, we're not complaining about getting a version of the high-end designer pair for less than half the price. However, this time he's gone a little bit too far. One of his recent designs, the "Fruitbowl Platform" pictured above right, is a blatant copy of the quirky Charlotte Olympia "Bananas Is My Business" shoe pictured to the left.
Unfortunately, it seems like fruit fashion may be rearing its ugly head again. If Charlotte's shoe can spark the creation of a cheaper faux version, it's only a matter of time before we start seeing more Carmen Miranda look-alikes running down Fifth Avenue or the Champs Elysees this season.
